Building a library of forms you can attach to any job.

Application forms in Recruit are built as reusable templates, so you don't have to design a form from scratch for every job. You manage them from Settings > Application Form Templates.

Creating a template

  1. Select + Add Form.
  2. Recruit starts you off with the standard candidate fields already on the form (name, email, phone, CV, cover letter) on Page 1, so you're editing rather than starting blank.
  3. Give it a clear Template Name and a short Description so colleagues can tell templates apart later.

Managing your templates

Each template appears as a card showing how often it's been used ("Used 12 times", "Last used 3 days ago", or "Never used"), so you can spot which templates are actually in circulation. The template your organisation uses by default carries a Default badge.

From a template's footer you can:

  • Save your changes.
  • Set as default, so new jobs use this template unless someone picks a different one.
  • Auto-map, which re-checks the form's fields against the candidate data model and fixes any mismatches automatically.
  • Preview as candidate, to see exactly what an applicant would see.
  • Duplicate, to start a new template from an existing one rather than rebuilding it.

To delete a template, select the trash icon. You'll be asked to confirm, since this can't be undone.

If your organisation manages multiple companies, a company selector appears at the top of the page so you can switch between each company's own set of templates.

See Building an application form for how to actually design the fields and pages inside a template.
