Configuring pipeline stages

Defining the stages candidates move through.

Defining the stages candidates move through.

Pipeline stages are configured under Settings > Pipeline, and set the default stages new jobs will use.

Managing stages

From this screen you can add, reorder, rename, colour-code, and delete stages. Each stage has a type, which determines how it behaves:

  • Screening
  • Interview
  • Video Interview
  • Assessment
  • Offer
  • Custom

The type you choose matters beyond just labelling. For example, only a stage typed as Offer triggers a right-to-work check when a candidate is moved into it, see Right to work and governance.

Controlling who can move candidates

A Pipeline Move Permission setting controls who's allowed to drag candidates between stages, useful if your organisation wants to restrict this to recruiters rather than everyone on a job's team.

Stages on an individual job

These settings define your organisation's defaults. Individual jobs can still have their own pipeline set up differently during the job setup process, this screen just controls what a new job starts with.
