Creating a job

Starting a new vacancy the fast way or the from-scratch way.

Starting a new vacancy the fast way or the from-scratch way.

Select Create Job from the Jobs list to start a new vacancy. You'll be offered two starting points.

Starting from scratch

Choose Start from Scratch if this job doesn't closely match anything you've posted before. You'll fill in every detail yourself as you move through the job creation steps.

Starting from a template

Choose Use a Template to see your organisation's saved job templates, each showing how many times it's been used. Selecting one pre-fills the title, department, location, remote policy, salary, employment type, description, requirements, and benefits, so you only need to adjust what's different this time.

See Using job templates for how templates are created and managed.

Duplicating an existing job

If you want to reuse a job that's already been posted rather than a template, open it and select Duplicate from the "···" menu, either from the Jobs list or from the job's own detail page. This creates a new draft with the same details, ready for you to adjust and take through the setup process again.

What happens next

Once you've started a job, whether from scratch, a template, or a duplicate, it moves into the job creation and setup process. See Setting up a job for the steps that follow.
