Notification preferences

Managing your email notifications by category.
Recruit can email you when things happen that need your attention, a new application, a completed shortlist, an approval waiting on you. You control which of these you receive from Notifications, under your profile settings.
Turning email notifications on or off
The Email Delivery card at the top of the page has a master Email notifications toggle. Turning this off stops all email notifications, including approval-request emails, so use it carefully if you're part of an approval chain.
Below it, Delivery frequency lets you choose:
- Immediate: notifications arrive as events happen.
- Daily summary: notifications are batched into a single email once a day.
Choosing what you're notified about
The Notifications card groups individual toggles by area:
- Applications: new application received, application withdrawn.
- Interviews: interview scheduled, interview reminder, interview feedback completed.
- Shortlisting: shortlisting completed.
- Pipeline: stage change, offer accepted.
- Notes: note mentions.
- References: reference received.
- Approvals: approval action needed, approval approved, approval rejected, approval withdrawn.
- Job adverts: advert expiry.
- Data deletion: data deletion request.
Switch off anything you don't want to hear about. Every toggle is greyed out and disabled if you've turned off email notifications entirely, or if your organisation manages notification preferences centrally.
If your settings look read-only
Some organisations manage notification preferences centrally rather than leaving them to individual users. If that's the case for you, a banner explains that your settings are managed centrally, and the toggles won't be editable. Contact your Recruit administrator if you need something changed.
