This update covers everything shipped to Hireroad Recruit between Saturday 25 April and Thursday 1 May 2026. It includes a significant set of new features, job board additions, and a broad range of refinements across the platform.
What's new
Bulk CV import
You can now import up to 20 CVs in a single batch when adding a candidate.
- Select multiple CV files from the Add candidate flow.
- Each CV is parsed before the candidate record is created, so duplicates are detected and flagged before they are added.
- Results are shown per file, including any failures, so nothing is silently dropped.
Interviews page filters
The interviews page now lets you filter by job and interviewer.
- Use the filter bar at the top of the page to narrow results by Job or Interviewer.
- Filters persist in the URL so you can share a specific view.
- Interviewer avatars are shown against each interview row.
- Non-privileged users only see jobs and interviewers they have access to.
Global blind shortlisting default
A new tenant-level toggle lets you enable blind shortlisting across all new jobs by default.
- Find the setting under Settings, in the Shortlisting section.
- When turned on, blind scoring is pre-enabled on every new job created in your account.
- Existing jobs are not affected.
Pin candidate notes
You can now pin a single note per job on a candidate profile.
- Pin a note using the pin icon on any note in the candidate Notes tab.
- The pinned note is displayed prominently so key information is always visible.
- Only one note can be pinned per candidate per job at a time.
Preview application form templates as candidate
You can now preview exactly how an application form will appear to candidates before it goes live.
- Open any form template in Settings, then use the Preview as candidate action.
- The preview renders the full candidate-facing application flow using your configured fields.
Job attachments
You can now attach supporting documents to a job when creating or editing it.
- Attach files such as job descriptions, benefits information, or branding assets.
- Attachments are visible on the job detail page with a download button.
- Supported file types and size limits are enforced at upload.
Configurable candidate sources
Candidate sources are now fully configurable per tenant instead of using a fixed list.
- Create, rename, reorder, and toggle sources from Settings, under Candidate sources.
- Drag and drop to change the display order.
- Sources flow through to reports and the candidate profile.
User management search
The User management settings page now supports server-side search.
- Type in the search field to filter users by name, email address, or role.
- Results update as you type without needing to submit a form.
Configurable gap analysis settings
The gap analysis look-back period and threshold are now configurable per tenant.
- Find the settings under Settings, in the Compliance section.
- Adjust the look-back window and the number of months that counts as a flagged gap.
- Audit logging records changes to these settings.
Conditional logic on approval forms
Justification fields on approval forms can now show or hide based on answers to earlier fields.
- Configure showWhen conditions on individual fields in the approval form settings.
- Fields are hidden from the approver until the relevant condition is met.
- Server-side validation enforces that only visible required fields must be completed before submission.
Recruiter form entry with pre-fill suggestions
Recruiters can now fill in application form responses on behalf of candidates, with suggestions drawn from the parsed CV.
- Open the form entry dialog from the candidate record.
- Fields are pre-populated where CV data is available, with a source badge showing where the suggestion came from.
- All field types are supported, including dropdowns and free text.
Draft auto-save in job creation
The job creation wizard now silently saves a draft as soon as you start typing.
- Once the job title reaches three characters, a draft is created automatically in the background.
- A subtle indicator shows when the draft has been saved.
- No action is required from you, and incomplete jobs are saved without interrupting your flow.
DOCX and TXT files accepted in CV upload
The CV upload in Add candidate now accepts .docx and .txt files in addition to PDF.
- Browsers that do not report a MIME type for
.docxfiles are handled via extension fallback.
Guidance text for basic information fields
Help text can now be added to individual fields on the basic information form.
- Add guidance text to any field from Settings, under Basic information.
- The help text is shown to recruiters filling in the field during job creation.
Astronaut Jobs integration
Astronaut Jobs is now available as a job board integration via the SmartJobBoard feed format.
- Connect your account from Settings, under Integrations.
- Post jobs directly in the same flow as other supported boards.
- No tenant-side credentials are required for Astronaut Jobs.
LinkedIn configuration improvements
Two new LinkedIn options are now configurable per integration without requiring code changes.
- Publisher, publisherUrl, and country are now settable in the LinkedIn integration config in Settings.
- Salary type can now be set to either base salary or total additional compensation per integration.
Location field in job creation
The Location field in the job creation wizard is now a dropdown sourced from your configured locations.
- Locations are drawn from Settings, under Locations.
- Selecting a location links the job to the stored location record rather than storing free text.
- The field behaves consistently on both job creation and job edit.
Improvements and fixes
Candidate sources and reports
- Candidate source values now display as readable labels across all report surfaces instead of raw system values.
Terminology
- The product now uses CV consistently throughout en-GB surfaces, replacing Resume in document upload labels, shortlisting headers, and other candidate-facing areas.
User management
- The Edit, Deactivate, and Reactivate buttons in Settings, under User management, now have accessible labels so screen readers and keyboard users can identify them.
- The Reactivate button is now only shown when the conditions for reactivation are met.
CV document preview
- DOCX, HTML, and plain text files now render correctly in the document viewer using a more faithful preview engine.
- All preview types now include a download link showing the actual filename from the original upload.
Interview feedback in candidate profile
- Interview feedback is now visible in the candidate Notes tab, giving a consolidated view of all feedback across a candidate's applications.
Dashboard drill-downs
- The Active Candidates and Interviews This Week stat cards now navigate to correctly filtered lists when clicked.
Shortlisting empty state
- A clear message is now shown on shortlisting stages when no checklists have been configured, with a link to Settings to set them up.
Employment types
- The employment type field now includes all types used in Vacancy Filler migrations, including bank, permanent, and others that were previously not available.
Company logo upload
- The company logo tile in Settings, under Company, is now clickable to open the file picker directly.
- The populated and empty states are visually distinct.
HRIS sync card
- The HRIS Sync card has been moved from the candidate Overview tab to the Onboarding tab, where it is more relevant to day-to-day use.
Integration settings
- The integration permissions gate now shows correctly for users without board management access.
- Sensitive field values in integration configuration dialogs are masked on load, with a reveal toggle to show the first and last few characters.
- Resetting an integration now correctly clears the cached config so the dialog reflects the current state.
Justification options
- Trailing commas typed in the justification options input are now preserved correctly instead of being stripped on each keystroke.
Document upload indicator
- A clear uploading state is now shown while a candidate document is being uploaded, so there is no ambiguity about whether the upload is in progress.
Drag and drop consistency
- Drag handles across the product now use a consistent icon and cursor style.
Job board posting status
- Posting status counts shown in the jobs list now reflect the correct numbers.
- Published jobs with no active postings now show an amber indicator rather than a blank column.
- Jobs that have never been posted now show a Not posted label.
Unpublish reliability
- Unpublishing a job now correctly triggers the vendor-side delete for CV-Library and other boards.
- CV-Library jobs that were already deleted on the provider side are treated as a successful unpublish rather than an error.
LinkedIn feed
- The LinkedIn Limited Listings XML feed has been aligned with the latest official specification, correcting several field mappings and required values.
