This update covers everything shipped to Hireroad Recruit between Monday 20 April and Friday 24 April 2026. It includes new features, integrations, and a range of refinements that improve day to day use of the platform.

What's new

Job description templates

You can now save any job description as a reusable template and pick from your saved templates when creating a new job.

  • Save the current description from the job creation form using the new Save as template action.
  • Choose from existing templates using the template picker on the description field.
  • Manage your library from Settings, under Job description templates.

File uploads on the public application form

Candidates can now attach files such as CVs, cover letters, and supporting documents when applying through your careers website.

  • Resume and cover letter fields are mapped automatically to the candidate record.
  • Additional documents are stored against the application.
  • Uploads are virus scanned and follow the configured retention rules.

Custom sections in job creation

Tenants can now build their own grouped sections in the job creation form, alongside the default sections such as Basic information.

  • Create new sections from the field configuration screen.
  • Reorder fields within a section using drag and drop.
  • Customise the Job description section to suit your hiring process.

Custom fields: photo, video, and content blocks

Custom fields now support richer content types and repeatable groups.

  • Add photo, video, and content block fields to any record.
  • Build repeatable sub fields for sets of related information.
  • A required asterisk is shown automatically in previews.

Pipeline stage filter on the candidates page

Filter the candidates list by pipeline stage to focus on a specific group, for example everyone currently at interview or offer.

CV Library integration

CV Library is now available as a direct API integration. Connect your account from Settings, then post jobs directly from the Post to more boards panel on a job.

TotalJobs integration

TotalJobs is now supported through an XML feed integration. Connect your account in Settings and post live jobs to TotalJobs in the same flow as other boards.

Interview auto scheduling

Interview scheduling now matches the demo experience, with automated time suggestions and a faster booking flow for interviewers and candidates.

Optional approval workflow

Tenants can now choose to skip the approval step when creating a new job. Turn this on in Settings, under Approvals, if your team does not need a separate sign off before a job goes live.

Interview events email template

A new compose flow lets you send a tailored email to a candidate when interview events change, using a configurable template.

SMS events in the candidate timeline

SMS messages sent to and from a candidate are now shown alongside emails in the activity timeline, giving you a single view of all communication.

Sort jobs by created date

The jobs list now supports sorting by created date, with newest first as the default for new sessions.

Integration status in Settings

Integrations now report a clear status when something needs your attention, for example an expired or invalid token. Errors are surfaced in Settings, under Integrations, with toast notifications for the most important changes.

PII redaction across candidate views

Candidate list and detail views now respect the configured PII redaction rules, so reviewers only see the information they are entitled to at each stage.

Improvements and fixes

We've also made a number of refinements based on early customer feedback.

Dashboard accuracy

  • The active jobs metric, hired this month metric, and interviews scheduled metric have all been retuned to reflect the correct underlying data.
  • Active candidate counts on the dashboard are now scoped correctly to your visible data.

Permissions and visibility

  • Hiring manager and member roles now see a consistent view across the jobs list and job detail pages.
  • Approvers in approval groups can now see the jobs they are responsible for.
  • The shortlisting drawer now resolves reviewer names correctly, and blind scoring rules apply to the Other reviewers panel.
  • Shortlisting summary and export endpoints respect candidate visibility rules.
  • Vacancy and candidate references are now visible to all eligible roles.

Application form and job setup

  • Submitting a job in setup now shows clear validation messages if any required fields are missing.
  • The Next button on the job creation form now toasts the missing fields rather than silently disabling.
  • Custom fields configured by your tenant are now persisted through job creation.
  • Form fields can be reordered with drag and drop.
  • Long form field labels are now supported in templates and on the form.
  • The public /apply route now renders correctly as a flat route.

Candidate experience

  • Data expired candidates are hidden from default views and reports.
  • The PII reveal stage is cleared when None is selected.
  • Duplicate timeline entries when creating a candidate have been resolved.
  • The Add document button on the candidate record now opens the file upload flow.

Integrations and job boards

  • IrishJobs and Reed postings no longer get stuck when authentication fails. The status is now reported clearly in Settings.
  • IrishJobs job posting reliability has been improved, including support for nested publish state values and dynamic unit type lookup.
  • The board postings tab now loads cleanly on slow connections.

Forgot password and authentication

  • The forgot password flow has been hardened, with clearer error reporting and tenant scoped routing.

Visual polish

  • Tag badges keep a stable size when entering edit mode.
  • iTrent field mappings no longer overlap on smaller screens.
  • The careers header image upload has been restored.
  • Tabs across templates and onboarding settings now use the same component for a consistent look.
  • Add buttons across the product now use a unified ghost variant.
