Reminder settings for onboarding tasks

Keeping candidates on track without chasing them manually.

Keeping candidates on track without chasing them manually.

Recruit can remind candidates automatically about onboarding tasks that are coming due or already overdue, configured under Settings > Reminders, in the Onboarding Reminder section.

Setting up reminders

Configure:

  • Enabled: turn the reminder on or off.
  • Send after: how long to wait, in hours or days, before sending.
  • Max reminders: the most reminders a candidate will receive for a single task.
  • Channels: send by email, SMS, or both.
  • Email template and SMS template: choose specific templates, or leave them to use your organisation's default.

What candidates receive

Recruit sends an upcoming reminder ahead of a task's due date, and an overdue reminder after it, using the timing you've set, up to your configured maximum per task. Internal tasks and email-trigger tasks are never chased this way, since they're not something the candidate can action, and a form task won't be chased by email if it's set not to email the candidate in the first place.

If candidates say they're not receiving reminders, check that the Onboarding Reminder is enabled and that the specific task type in question is one Recruit chases at all.
