The sign-in flow, single sign-on, two-factor prompts, and password resets.
Recruit asks for your email first, then works out how you sign in from there. You don't need to remember whether your organisation uses a password or single sign-on (SSO); the login screen shows you the right option automatically.
Signing in
- Go to your Recruit login page and enter your work Email, then select Continue.
- What happens next depends on how your organisation is set up:
- If your organisation requires SSO, you'll see a Continue with [Provider] button. Select it and sign in through your organisation's identity provider. - If SSO is optional, you'll see both Continue with [Provider] and a Use password instead link. Choose whichever you normally use. - If your organisation uses passwords only, the Password field appears directly. Enter your password and select Sign in.
- Tick Remember me for 30 days if you're on a device only you use. This keeps you signed in for longer.
- Entered the wrong email? Select Use a different email to start again.
If your organisation has Google or Microsoft sign-in enabled generally (rather than enforced for your specific email domain), you'll also see Continue with Google and Continue with Microsoft buttons below the sign-in form.
If your organisation requires single sign-on
You won't be able to sign in with a password if your organisation enforces SSO for your email domain. If you see a message saying single sign-on is required but no provider is configured, contact your Recruit administrator. This means SSO hasn't been fully set up yet on their end.
Two-factor authentication at sign-in
If two-factor authentication (2FA) is turned on for your account, you'll be asked for a verification step after your password:
- If you've enrolled with an authenticator app, enter the 6-digit code it generates. The form submits automatically once you've typed all 6 digits.
- If you've enrolled with email codes, choose Email me a code. Recruit sends a code to your address, and you can select Send a new code if it doesn't arrive.
- Locked out of your authenticator app or email? Select Use a recovery code and enter one of the recovery codes you saved when you set up 2FA.
See Setting up two-factor authentication if you haven't enrolled yet.
Resetting a forgotten password
- From the login screen, select Forgot your password?
- Enter your email and select Send reset link.
- Recruit always shows the same confirmation message, "If an account exists with that email, we've sent a password reset link", whether or not an account exists. This is a security measure, so don't worry if you don't recognise the wording.
- Check your inbox for the reset email and follow the link to set a new password.
If the email doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder before contacting your administrator.
